Hello everyone, and welcome back to beer for babes. This week we tried a yummy little Kentucky Kolsch with special guests Ella Simons ‘25 and Mariposa Beane ‘26 while watching this year’s Grammys and it was wildly entertaining. I have never been more invested yet more confused about an award show.

Well, this beer felt very similar to that confusion, so I guess it kind of worked out. This beer was very flavorful when you first took a sip but as soon as you swallowed it the flavor strangely disappeared. It was a nice little salty Kolsch, and Ella said it was even a bit creamy, but I’m not sure I agree with that take.

The can design was absolutely nothing compared to the outfits at the Grammys. I wish it gave us a little bit more Jaden Smith and a little less Gracie Abrams. But let’s get a little bit into the pairings for this beer. Obviously, number one is the Grammys and Doechii winning rap album of the year (WOOHOOO) where there were some tears shed during her speech. We persevered and kept on drinking the beer as the night kept getting more exciting. We launched ourselves into the Beyonce conspiracy and patiently waited for everyone to thank her. We realized that Puxatawney Phil failed to thank her after seeing his shadow today, and we are a little worried about his safety now.

When we got to the second beer we were scared for the chug, especially with two beer newbies as the guests. This chug did not go well. It felt like Billie Eilish getting let down yet again by another opportunity. The chug sent us immediately into burps and only lasted about two seconds, but we persevered. We finished the second beer while watching Kendrick Lamar sweep all of his categories for “Not Like Us” (thank god). The third beer felt just the same as the others which was good, the flavor remaining enjoyable and easy to drink. By the end, we did feel very full. Overall, this beer felt like watching Teddy Swims perform; definitely good but hated the outfit.

Overall, we recommend this beer, but we hope they make the can a little more fun. To sign off on this article, we want to thank Beyonce (please don’t kill us).

Xoxo,
