We’re always looking for Colorado College students to join our team! Unless stated otherwise, previous experience at a school newspaper is not required for any position below, and all positions are paid.
Writers
We hire new writers on a rolling basis throughout the year. To apply, please send your resume, along with a writing sample, to our hiring manager Maya Rosen (m_rosen2024@coloradocollege.edu). The writing sample can be anything you would like to show off – a class paper, poetry, previous journalism work, etc. We are looking less at what you wrote about and more so how you wrote about it.
Photographers and Illustrators
We hire new photographers and illustrators on a rolling basis throughout the year. To apply, please send your resume, along with a photography/illustration sample, to our head photo editor Rex Karjian (r_karjian@coloradocollege.edu).
Staff
We hire for our staff positions only when vacancies open up. Here are our current openings, and applications for each. Section editor candidates require previous experience working for The Catalyst in order to be considered for the position.
