Women’s Soccer: The Tigers lost 1-0 to Colorado School of Mines in a game last Wednesday. They compete this weekend in a home doubleheader on Saturday, April 12 where they’ll face Colorado Christian University at 11 a.m. and conference foe New Mexico University at 3:30 p.m. Last time they played against New Mexico at home on Oct. 13, 2024 it was a 0-0 draw.
Track & Field: Junior Rabbit Barnes was named SCAC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week on Thursday, April 1, for his school-record setting time of 3:49.04 in the 1500 meter. When altitude-adjusted, the time is good for No. 1 in the country for DIII runners. Senior Isabel Olson was named SCAC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week on Thursday, April 1, for her school-record setting time of 16:45.58 in the 5K. She has the best time in DIII in the event. The Tigers compete next April 11-12 at the War Hawk Classic in Abilene, Texas as well as April 11 at the KT Woodman Classic in Wichita, Kansas.
Women’s Lacrosse: Last weekend, the Tigers traveled to Georgetown, Texas, for a trio of games. The No. 17 Tigers defeated the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and Southwestern University by the same score of 23-1 on Friday. They took down the University of Wisconsin-River Falls 16-4 on Sunday to improve to 12-2. The Tigers are on the road again this weekend to face off against a trio of teams: University of Wisconsin-La Crosse at 5 p.m. CT on Friday, University of Wisconsin-Stout at 10 a.m. CT on Sunday, and Augsburg University at 3 p.m. CT on Sunday. Over Block Break, the Tigers face some tough competition in No. 15 Trinity College on Thursday, April 17 and No. 12 The College of New Jersey on Saturday, April 19.
Men’s Lacrosse: The Tigers journeyed eastward this past weekend for a pair of away games. They fell to the College of Wooster in Columbus, Ohio, 11-9 on Saturday but bounced back to slay Transylvania University 15-12 on Sunday in Lexington, Ky. The Tigers now boast a 7-5 record, and close out the regular season with games against Endicott College on Thursday, April 17 and UMass Boston on Friday, April 19.
Men’s Tennis: The 4-10 Tigers had a pair of away matches last weekend, losing 1-6 to Colorado Mesa in Grand Junction last Saturday and beating Metro State 5-2 on Sunday in Denver. The win was notable for being the first match win against Metro State since 2010. The Tigers will have a chance to avenge their loss this weekend, as they play Colorado Mesa University again on Saturday, April 12, this time at home in Memorial Park. The Tigers close out the regular season with a trio of away games in Texas over Block Break, facing Concordia University Texas at 10 a.m. CT on Friday, April 18, Trinity University at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday, April 19, and Southwestern University on Sunday, April 20 at 10 a.m. CT.
Women’s Tennis: The 6-7 Tigers had a pair of away matches last weekend, losing 3-4 to Colorado Mesa in Grand Junction last Saturday and beating Metro State 5-2 on Sunday in Denver. Sophomore Ally Lowe was named the SCAC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for two wins against DII opponents in the No. 2 singles spot. The Tigers will have a chance to avenge their loss this weekend, as they play Colorado Mesa again on Saturday, April 12, at 11 a.m., this time at home in Memorial Park. They also face CSU-Pueblo at 4 p.m. on the same day. The Tigers will close out the regular season with a pair of away games in Texas over Block Break, facing Concordia University Texas at 10 a.m. CT on Friday, April 18 and Southwestern University on Sunday, April 20 at 10 a.m. CT.
Wasabi Ultimate Frisbee: No. 13 Wasabi start their postseason this weekend, traveling to Golden for the DIII Rocky Mountain Conference championship, where they will face Air Force and No. 23 Colorado School of Mines. The team with the worst record will miss out on a spot in DII South Central Regionals in two weeks.
Zenith Ultimate Frisbee: No. 8 Zenith start their postseason this weekend, traveling to Golden for the DIII South Central Regional championship, facing off against No. 13 Rice, No. 24 Trinity, John Brown, and Truman State. The winner of regionals will earn a spot at DIII College Nationals.
