Hockey: The No. 20 Tigers take on No. 7 Denver University in the Battle for the Gold Pan this weekend. They face an away game at Magness Arena in Denver at 7 p.m. this Friday and their final regular season game at home at Robson Arena at 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Track & Field: The Tigers will travel to California this weekend to compete in the Oxy Distance Carnival on Saturday, March 8. Read Olivia Link’s piece on record holding Joshua Williams ‘26 in this edition of The Catalyst.
Swim & Dive: CC divers finished their season this past weekend at the NCAA Division III Championships in Grinnell, Iowa. Aidan Richter ‘25 placed 11th in the men’s 1-meter competition, with sophomore Wyatt Wellehan placing 13th. Senior Emma Krasemann placed 12th in the 3-meter event, while sophomore Keller Pooley finished 14th.
Men’s Basketball: The Tigers beat Concordia (Texas) 89-64 this past Friday in the quarterfinals of the 2025 SCAC Championships in Irving, Texas. The team hit 13 three-pointers en route to the win, a team high since Feb. 14, 2020 and the third highest mark in SCAC Tournament history. They fell 67-50 to Trinity in the semifinals on Saturday night. Asher Nofzinger ‘26 was named to the SCAC second-team, Devin Philio ‘25 to the third-team, and Scott Ruegg ‘25 and Ty Hendler ‘27 were named honorable mentions. Nofzinger was additionally awarded the SCAC Elite 19 award. The Tigers end their season with 14 wins, and complete their first consecutive winning season since 2013.
Women’s Basketball: The No. 21 Tigers lost to Texas Lutheran 57-63 in the semifinals of the 2025 SCAC Championships in Irving, Texas. Senior Zoë Tomlinson was named the conference player of the year for the second consecutive year, and additionally took home Defensive Player of the Year Honors and the SCAC Elite 19 award. Tomlinson earned first-team recognition, Kayla Mackel ‘25 was named second-team, and Healy Bledsoe ‘25, Laura Strenk ‘25 and Isa Nelson ‘27 were All-Conference honorable mentions. The team also qualified on Monday for the NCAA Women’s DIII Tournament for the first time since 1990. They face the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in the first round on Friday, March 7.
Men’s Lacrosse: The Tigers defeated Moravian University 17-8 this past Saturday at home, with Max Vota ‘28 scoring a game-high four goals. They took another home win against Aurora University in a 14-6 win this past Tuesday to improve to 4-2 and remain undefeated at home. They play next on Saturday, March 8, against St. John Fisher at 1 p.m. on Washburn field.
Women’s Lacrosse: The No. 17 Tigers took down Claremont Mudd-Scripps 16-11 at home in their season opener. Payton Murphy ‘25 scored a career-high five goals and eight points in the win and was named the WIAC Offensive Player of the Week. The Tigers travel to Chicago this weekend to face the University of Chicago on March 8. They travel to Wisconsin to face the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Sunday, March 9.
Men’s Tennis: The Tigers appear next against Marist College at 12 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Women’s Tennis: The Tigers appear next against Marist College at 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 13 at the U.S. Air Force Academy.
Zenith Ultimate Frisbee: No. 10 Zenith went 6-0 this past weekend at the Snow Melt 2025 Tournament in Colorado Springs, beating Denver, Arizona State, Arizona, University of Colorado-Boulder-B, Colorado Mines and Colorado College-B. Zenith’s B-Team, recently renamed to Zephyr, went 0-6 on the weekend.
Wasabi Ultimate Frisbee: No. 12 Wasabi went 5-2 this past weekend at the Snow Melt 2025 Tournament in Colorado Springs, beating BYU-B, Denver University-B, Cal-B, Denver University and Montana State, falling to No. 25 Colorado School of Mines and No. 7 Lewis and Clark.
