Men’s Hockey: The Colorado College Tigers lost 4-1 to the No. 3 Western Michigan University Broncos on Friday, Jan. 31, but beat them in overtime 3-2 on Saturday, Feb. 1. Full game coverage is available in this edition of The Catalyst. 

Carsen Musser ‘28 and Owen Beckner ‘28 were named the KJ Branding National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) goalie of the week and rookie of the week respectively after the series. The Tigers face off against No. 16 University of North Dakota this weekend in a pair of away games. 

Women’s Track & Field: Women’s track and field set four school records at the Colorado Invitational in Boulder, Colo., last weekend. Clara Lippert ‘26 set an indoor record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.91 seconds. Allison Barker ‘26 set an indoor record in the 800 with a time of 2:20.64. Charlie Flint ‘27 set an indoor record in the 3000 meter at 10:33.12. The relay team of Lippert, Barker, Chloe Johnson ‘28 and Alina Miranda ‘27 additionally set a new school record in the 4×400 with a time of 4:08.24. 

Men’s Track & Field: Will Shuflit ‘27 set a school record in the 3000-meter running unattached at the CU Invitational with a time of 8:40.46. Rabbit Barnes ‘26 set a school record in the 5000 meter with a time of 14:56.78. 

Swim & Dive: The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America selected the men’s and women’s swim and dive teams for Scholar All-American honors for the 22nd consecutive semester. Both women’s and men’s teams are preparing for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference championships, which take place from Feb. 12 through 15 in Garland, Texas. 

Men’s Basketball: The Tigers won two away games this past weekend, beating Austin College 79-74 in overtime on Friday Jan. 31, and the University of Dallas 78-75 on Sunday, Feb. 2. The Tigers face off against the same schools at home this weekend, playing Austin on Friday, Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m. and Dallas on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 3 p.m.

Women’s Basketball: The Tigers beat Austin College 59-45 Friday and the University of Dallas 69-48 Saturday, extending their win streak to six games. The Tigers face Austin on Friday, Feb. 7 at 5:30 p.m. and the University of Dallas on Feb. 8 at 1 p.m. Both games are at home in Reid Arena. 

Men’s Lacrosse: The Tigers kick off their 2025 season this weekend in a set of home games. They take on Rhodes College and Hope College at Washburn Field on Sunday, Feb. 9 and Monday, Feb. 10. 

Tennis: Both women’s and men’s tennis face off against Seward County Community College Saturday, Feb. 8, for their first match of the spring semester.

Zenith Ultimate Frisbee: Zenith is competing in the DIII Grand Prix this weekend in Portland, Ore., their first tournament of the semester. 

Wasabi Ultimate Frisbee: Wasabi is competing in the DIII Grand Prix this weekend in Portland, Ore., their first tournament of the semester. 

Intramurals: The team of Evie Angevine ‘25, Isabel Cody ‘25, Hunter Burge ‘25 and Natalia Maahs ‘25 won the Second Saturday Regatta with their cardboard boat, The Manarna. Complete coverage of the Second Saturday Regatta is available online.

Broomball, Basketball and Futsal intramural play continue into Block 6.
