Hockey: The Tigers split the weekend series against conference rival Minnesota-Duluth with a 7-2 win on Friday and a 4-1 loss on Saturday, bringing their record to 11-10-1 (5-6-1 NCHC). Noah Laba ‘26 recorded the first hat trick of his college career on Friday. 

The Hockey Commissioners Association named Kaidan Mbereko ‘26 to the 2025 Mike Richter Award Watch List on Jan 15. The Mike Richter Award is given to the top goalie in Men’s NCAA Division I hockey. Next weekend, the Tigers travel to face off against No. 18 and NCHC-leading Arizona State. 

Volleyball: On Dec. 17, four Tigers were named to the 2024 Academic All-District team: Annie Steger ‘25, Kaylie Stuteville ‘25, Carolyn Dormandy ‘26 and sophomore Meg Gannon ‘27. Dormandy earned the honor last year, while the others were named for the first time. 

Track & Field: Josh Williams ‘26 finished fifth and set a school record in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.82 at the Colorado Classic Jan. 18. Kendall Accetta ‘24 was recognized at the 2025 NCAA convention in Nashville for being a top 30 honoree for NCAA Woman of the Year. 

CC Track and Field will compete at the UCCS Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 25. 

Swim & Dive: Men’s Swim and Dive won the CC Classic for the third time in four years on Sunday, Jan. 19. Diver Wyatt Wellehan ‘27 took first place in diving and set a new school and pool record with a score of 617.48. Women’s Swim and Dive finished second at the same meet. On Jan. 14, swimmer Megan Simonson ’26 and diver Emma Krasemann ‘25 won the SCAC Swimmer and Diver of the week awards. Both teams compete next at the SCAC Championships in Garland, Texas, from Feb. 12-15.

Men’s Basketball: The Tigers currently hold a 7-8 record (3-3 in conference play). They won their most recent game against McMurry University 92-75, with Devin Philo ‘25 scoring a career-high 24 points. 

On Jan. 12, the Tigers put up the team’s largest margin of victory in 21 years, beating Texas Lutheran 97-56. Tigers Men’s Basketball returns to action on Friday, Jan. 24, at home against Centenary. 

Women’s Basketball: The Tigers are 13-2 (5-1 in conference) and undefeated at home. They are ranked No. 25 in Division III by D3hoops.com’s poll. Zoë Tomlinson ‘25 became CC Women’s Basketball’s all-time leading rebounder on Jan. 17, surpassing Lorna Kollmeyer ‘80. She is now second in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) history with 1,119 career rebounds, 59 away from tying the all-time record. Tomlinson leads the team this year in points, rebounds and blocks.

Intramurals: Broomball, Basketball, and Futsal intramurals began this past week. Register for this block’s second Saturday event, the Second Saturday Regatta, by Jan. 31. The regatta will take place on Feb. 1.
