Hello, babes! We are so excited to be drinking on campus again! Though the grind did not stop over break, we have been excitedly awaiting our first article back!

We are kicking off this semester with one of the weirder cans we’ve seen so far, but it earns itself a title as one of the better beers we have tried!

Let’s start with the can; I would like to speak with the person who designed this and ask them what sort of psychedelics they were on at the time. You guys only get to see half of it in the drawing but I’m pretty sure you understand the gist of how strange it is (you’ll have to use your imagination for the other half — or go to Weber’s Street Liquor to get your own!)

This beer was super hoppy, which made the fast-drinking aspect a tad difficult — but don’t worry, it’s nothing us seasoned beer-gut girls can’t handle. We had a great time drinking this beer, and we will enthusiastically buy it again for non-work purposes. This beer is a 6.0% IPA called Dukes of Ripstick from Hoof Hearted Brewing. Say that five times fast after downing a couple cans.

This brewery is super groovy and very delish. We always pick the beer by the can (a technique that has led to many highs and lows), and this one delivered everything we could have hoped for.

The chug was difficult, the laughs were good, and the buzz was pleasant. We could not think of a better way to start the spring semester — especially if you’re in a soul-crushing block. Their rad motto reads “More Hops than Brains!” and is exactly our mentality for the rest of the school year.
