With the weather more frequently becoming unbearably cold, the sun going down at 5 p.m., and the increasing appeal of spending the entire day under blankets watching movies, Block 4 is off to a very slow start.  Here’s a quick list of today’s “ins” and “outs” I’m keeping in mind to get me through the block.

Ins–

Hot peppermint mocha and chocolate croissant combination from Starbucks.  Ugg boots (or any furry knock off boot).  The pink heart emoji with the gold bow around it.  Cinnamon Toast Crunch.  The Phineas and Ferb Christmas Special (Season two, episode 21).  Phoebe Bridgers’s holiday EP, “If We Make It Through December”.  Pillow Pets. Waking up 30 minutes before your class.  Buttered toast.  Snickerdoodles.  FaceTiming your pets at home.  Berets.  Heated blankets.  Photo booth pictures.  Matching thematic winter pajamas with your roommates.  Stirring the pot.  Super specific Pinterest boards.  Being really sick for an entire block.  The $1 section at Target.  Really niche conspiracy theories.  Leaving early.

Outs–

Going out on weekdays (it’s too cold).  Required reading.  Crocs.  Classes going for the full three hours.  Shoe resellers.  Oatmeal.  Iced Coffee.  Crosswalks.  Getting parking tickets. Wearing shorts and open-toed shoes in 20-degree weather. Tom Cruise.  Responding to emails.  Being too good for Taylor Swift.  Explaining anything.  Yielding.  Supreme.  Elon Musk.  Overdone conspiracy theories.  Strip malls.  Staying out past midnight.  Walking anywhere.  Those green Gatorade squeeze bottles.  Male comedians. Men listening to podcasts. The social expectation to hold conversation.  Participation grades.  Crosswalks.   Me getting parking tickets.
