Can you believe it’s already Block 8? This year has been a rocky one and has left us all a little bent out of shape. COVID-19 has forced us to re-shape and restructure almost everything about our typical routines.

For some of us, this is the last block of the year, while others still have a few classes to take this summer. Regardless of how you’ll be spending the next few months, it’s important that we all take a deep breath, get outside, and soak up some sun. If you will be in Colorado this summer, be sure to check out Yoga on the Rocks at Red Rocks Amphitheater.

Red Rocks is not only home to amazing live concerts — it’s also a place where yogis from across Colorado gather during summer weekends to flow together under the morning sun and the cool Colorado breeze. It’s about a 75-minute drive from the Springs and all you need is a yoga mat, some water, and maybe a friend!

The Yoga on the Rocks program hosts two yoga sessions every weekend throughout June and July. The first event will take place on Saturday, June 5 at 7 a.m. Each class costs $17 and everyone must purchase their tickets ahead of time.

The traditional outdoors nature of this event is a perfect way to engage with a larger number of people while still staying safe. According to Red Rocks and 9News, all yogis will be required to wear a mask and to stay socially-distanced.

Your admission ticket will not only get you into an exhilarating, rejuvenating, community-centered event, it will also spread love and care beyond the mat.

One dollar from each ticket purchase will be donated to the Love Your Brain Foundation, which supports people who have been impacted by traumatic brain injuries.

After your yoga flow, you can spend the rest of your morning hiking or driving around the Red Rocks area and stop for brunch in town.

Yoga on the Rocks is an awesome opportunity to catch some Colorado rays, get a great workout, connect with the greater Colorado community, and get pumped for the Red Rocks concert season, all while continuing to stay safe!
