For those who don’t know, and to those who miss him already, this past Tuesday was Byron’s last day working as a barista for Colorado College after three years of service. I got the chance to interview him on his second-to-last day.
We talked about his time working for CC, studying creative writing at the Institute of American Indian Arts, what made him leave CC, growing up on a reservation in New Mexico and how it relates to Standing Rock, and where he’s headed in the future. Take a listen on your way to class/work.
