On the second day of the North Dakota series, CC fought hard and lost by one with a 3-2 finish. However, freshman blue line specialist Jaccob Slavin scored an impressive three goals during the North Dakota series, and on Jan. 13 was named the National Collegiate Hockey Conference Rookie of the Week.
At the end of CC hockey’s winter break games, we fought hard against Providence College on Jan. 17 and 18 for a solid 2-2 tie and 7-2 loss, respectively. Over winter break, “the team played well and competed hard” sophomore right-wing Jared Hanson said.
He also says that they’ve set new goals for the remainder of the season: to perform their best against in-conference teams, and to work to get in a great position to be in the post season. With a clear vision, strong goals, and the determination to win, watch out for our CC Men’s Hockey in their upcoming games against Denver, Miami of Ohio, Minnesota Duluth, and Nebraska-Omaha.
