A teenage girl who police say was under the influence of LSD was arrested while attempting to break into a home south of campus early Monday morning.

Around 1 a.m., police responded to the 800 block of S. Cedar Drive in reference to a burglary in progress. There they found the juvenile suspect — only identified as a female teenager — attempting to force entry into a home.

“The juvenile fought with officers, striking one officer in the face,” police said. “The juvenile female was eventually subdued and transported to Memorial Hospital for medical clearance.”

The teen was then transported to Spring Creek Juvenile Detention Center.
