Forty-eight miles is roughly the distance between Colorado Springs and Pueblo — and one Colorado College student will have to walk it in a day.

Why? He lost at Fantasy Football and now must face the music.

Fantasy football punishments are typically played out in a “toilet bowl” consisting of the bottom two to four players from the league.

For senior Owen Stefanakos, the outcome of his toilet bowl felt like, “fucking bullshit,” as he outscored his opponent by roughly 300 points during the regular season.

Unfortunately for Stefanakos, his team was unable to put up enough points during the game, leaving him with the punishment of running 800 meters in under 2.5 minutes, wearing only a speedo. To increase the embarrassment, the spectacle is being promoted on the senior calendar.

Meanwhile, Sean Brown ‘26 was unfortunate enough to come in last place in his league, which has a resulting severe punishment — one that Brown himself ironically thought of. He must walk from the edge of Colorado Springs to Pueblo, a total of about 48 miles, which according to Google Maps, could take him roughly 17 hours and 15 minutes to complete.

“I thought I was going to win when I came up with that punishment,” Brown said. “When I was first thinking about it, I was like ‘I really don’t want to do this at all,’ but I’m excited for the lore. Who can say they walked from Colorado Springs to Pueblo in a day?”

And now, it will at least be in the student newspaper.
