Women’s Soccer: The Colorado Tigers competed in the Colorado Cup in Boulder on April 26. They lost 2-0 to CU Boulder, lost 2-1 to UCCS and drew 1-1 tie against Northern Colorado. This weekend, the Tigers face off against Air Force at 10 a.m. and have a rematch with UCCS at 1:30 p.m. Both games will be held at the Air Force Academy.
Women’s Track & Field: The Tigers finished third with 155 points this past weekend in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) championships, falling to champion Trinity (191) and McMurry (163.5). Isabel Olson ‘25 captured the 5K for the second year in a row, and titles in the 1500. Ella Fullerton ‘26 won her third consecutive 800 title, becoming just the fifth runner in conference history to win three straight. Clara Lippert ‘26 won her first SCAC title in the 400-meter. Elliot Singer ‘25 took home the 10K title, becoming the first runner in SCAC history to win the event three times. Singer won the event in ‘22 and ‘23.
Men’s Track & Field: The Tigers finished third in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference championships with 124 points, falling behind champion McMurry (218) and Trinity (173). Oliver Smeal ‘28 broke his own school record in the men’s javelin with a throw of 178’7”, good for fifth place. Will Shuflit ‘27 won the 10K for his first career SCAC title on Saturday and grabbed a second with his win in the 5K. Rabbit Barnes ‘26 captured his third straight 1500-meter title, becoming the fourth runner in SCAC history to complete the ‘threepeat’ in this event. Barnes also won the 800-meter for the second season in a row, setting a school and SCAC record with a time of 1:51.31.
Women’s Lacrosse: The No. 15 Tigers, now with a final regular season record of 16-3, compete this weekend in the WIAC tournament. They face the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Friday, May 2. Should they win, they will compete in the WIAC final on Saturday, May 3.
Men’s Tennis: The Tigers defeated Texas Lutheran University 4-0 on April 25 in the quarterfinals of the SCAC championships. They fell to No. 50 Southwestern 2-4 in the semifinal match on April 26 but took down Concordia University 4-0 to take home third place and finish their season with a 6-14 record.
Women’s Tennis: The No. 48 Tigers entered the SCAC championships as the number two seed, riding a five-match win streak. They took a 4-0 win in the quarterfinals against Austin College on April 25. They blanked Southwestern 4-0 in the semifinal match on April 26, but fell 0-4 to No. 11 Trinity in the final to take home second place. They finished their season with a 12-8 record, the most wins in a single season since 2015-16.
Wasabi Ultimate Frisbee: No. 10 Wasabi finished third at the DIII Men’s South Central Regionals in Tulsa, Okla. Wasabi defeated John Brown, Air Force, and No. 21 Colorado School of Mines, but fell to No. 7 Oklahoma Christian in the final. Wasabi lost to No. 15 Missouri S+T, leaving without a bid to the national championships. They finished their season with a final record of 17-6.
