Men’s Hockey:
In a weekend series against Arizona State University, the Tigers tied 3-3 (OT) on Friday, Nov. 7, and won 3-1 on Saturday, Nov. 8. On Friday, Nov. 14, the Tigers lost 2-1 (OT) to the University of Denver Pioneers away in Magness Arena. They lost again 3-2 on Saturday, Nov. 15 at home in Ed Robson Arena, losing the Gold Pan to Denver for the seventh Consecutive year. On Thursday, Nov. 13, sophomore Owen Beckner was named to the U.S. Collegiate Selects team for the prestigious Spengler Cup. The Tigers compete next in a weekend series against No. 4 Minnesota Duluth at home in Robson Arena. Games are on Friday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 22 at 6 p.m.
Women’s Volleyball:
After finishing the regular season with a 20-7 record, the Tigers won the 2025 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship which took place in Kerrville, Texas. On Friday, Nov. 14, they first defeated Austin College 3-1, then took down University of St. Thomas 3-0 in the semifinal match. On Saturday, Nov. 15, the Tigers beat Schreiner 3-2 to take home their first SCAC title since 2021. Camille Sherrill ‘27 was named the tournament’s MVP, setting a SCAC tournament match record with 28 kills. Camden Goodman ‘28 also set a match record with 70 assists. Sherrill, Goodman, Brooke Brilliant ‘27 and Meghan Gannon ‘27 were named to the all-tournament team. Sherrill was also named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) DIII National Player of the Week for her performance. The AVCA named Brilliant to the Region 10 all-region first-team, while Sherrill was named as an honorable mention.
With the win, the Tigers earned a bid to the NCAA DIII Tournament, their 31st overall appearance. They face No. 24 Salisbury (28-6) in the first round on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 11:30 a.m. EST in Cambridge, Mass. The winner of Thursday’s match faces either No. 8 Trinity University or Manhattanville University in the second round on Friday.
Men’s Soccer:
The Tigers swept the major SCAC awards, winning all three major player awards as well as Coaching Staff of the Year. Sophomore Teddy Opler was named the SCAC Offensive Player of the Year after leading the conference with 31 points (13 goals, 5 assists). Senior Captain Rex Karijan was named the SCAC Defensive Player of the Year after leading the CC defense to a conference-best goals-against average of .53 and leading the conference with 11 assists. Freshman Ewan Robertson was named the Newcomer of the Year after leading the conference with 14 goals. Opler, Karijan and Robertson were named to the All-SCAC first team alongside juniors Jack Hilliard, Alex Wolter, Dylan Stapley and sophomore Will Jones. The Tigers had 13 total All-SCAC selections.
On Friday, Nov. 7, the Tigers defeated Austin College 2-0 in the SCAC Semifinals, earning their first trip to the SCAC final since 2019. Oliver Ramirez ‘26 scored first in the 34th minute, with Opler doubling the lead eight minutes later. In the final, the Tigers fell 1-0 to Texas Lutheran University. The Tigers’ 18-game win streak came to an end, tying the 1992 season for the longest in program history.
Women’s Basketball:
The Tigers hold a 2-1 record three games into the season. The Tigers traveled to Missouri for their first two games of the season, losing the opener 71-47 to No. 23 Hope College on Nov. 14, but bouncing back with a statement win 64-61 against No. 18 Calvin University on Nov. 15. On Nov. 17, the Tigers pulled off a 16-point comeback to beat Aurora away in Aurora, Ill.
Men’s Basketball:
The Tigers hold a 2-1 record three games into the season. In their season opener on Nov. 7, the Tigers defeated Western Colorado 94-92 in an overtime thriller at home. The win was the program’s first against DII competition since 2009. Freshman guard Terrion Benson was named the SCAC Men’s Basketball Defensive Player of the Week for his four-steal, 15-point performance that helped to spark the win. They then traveled to Missouri, falling on Nov. 15 to No. 12 Calvin University 85-70 but bouncing back with a win against Kalamazoo College 83-67 on Nov. 16. The Tigers next travel to Virginia, taking on Pfeiffer University on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 3 p.m. EST and Mary Baldwin University on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 2 p.m. EST.
Men’s Cross Country:
The Tigers head into the NCAA DIII national championships ranked No. 22 following their second-place finish in the NCAA DIII West Regional meet on Saturday, Nov. 15. Will Shuflit ‘27 led the Tigers to victory, securing both the regional title and automatic individual qualifying bid for the national championship. Rabbit Barnes ‘26, Axel Klomparens ‘26, Diego Escalante ‘28 and Vincent Mangat ‘28 received all-regional honors. The team’s second-place finish clinched its at-large bid on Sunday, Nov. 16. This is the team’s second national bid since 2023.
The Tigers race in Spartanburg, S.C., on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. for the NCAA DIII national title.
Women’s Cross Country:
The Tigers head into the NCAA DIII National Championship ranked No. 19 following their second-place finish in the NCAA DIII West Regional meet on Saturday, Nov. 15. Senior Allison Mueller-Hickler led the charge for CC, winning the individual title (the third in program history) and an automatic qualifying bid to the national championship. Junior Charlie Flint finished sixth overall, also qualifying for the national championship meet. Mueller-Hickler, Flint and seniors Abby Goodfried and Brooktie Frogge qualified for All-Region honors. This will be CC’s fifth consecutive year competing in the national championship: the team received an at-large bid to the meet on Sunday, Nov. 16.
The Tigers next compete in the NCAA DIII National Championship meet on Saturday, Nov. 22, in Spartanburg, S.C., at 10 a.m.

The Tigers compete next at the Centre College Invitational in Danville, Ky., from Friday, Nov. 21, to Sunday, Nov. 23.

Intramurals:
Dirty Little Mud Grubs are your flag football champions, taking down Big Tyrone & The Funky Bunch in the finals. BBL are your 2025 volleyball champions, with BALLerinas taking second place. Bozos are outdoor soccer champions, defeating last year’s winners, Pookies. Edu Chlopek ‘29 is the 2025 Ping Pong Champion, with Kjetil Hassman ‘27 the runner-up.
Rosters are due Thursday, Dec. 4 for Block 4’s Second Saturday Series event, a pickleball tournament held in the Rec Gym on Saturday, Dec. 6. Ice Hockey continues through Block 4, and play for the Basketball and Futsal tournaments began this past week.
