Men’s Hockey: This year, the Colorado College Tigers went 18-18-1, falling to the Denver University Pioneers in three games in the NCHC quarterfinals. One of the Tigers’ best wins was a 3-2 thriller against eventual NCAA champion Western Michigan University. Three Tigers signed with professional teams after the season: Noah Laba with the New York Rangers, Gleb Veremyev with the New York Islanders and Ty Gallagher with the Providence Bruins.
Women’s Soccer: This year, women’s soccer finished with a record of 8-9-3, improving from last season by five wins. The team beat rival Air Force 2-1 to win the City for Champions Cup for the first time in the history of the series. Twenty-one Tigers were named to the Academic All-Mountain West team.
Men’s Soccer: Men’s soccer finished their 2024 season campaign with a record of 16-3-3, qualifying for the NCAA DIII Tournament. They defeated Pacific Lutheran University 3-2 in the first round but fell to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 2-1 in a second-round overtime thriller. Sophomore goalkeeper Alex Wolter was named to the All-American second team, while senior defender Curtis Hale was named to the All-American fourth team. Wolter and Hale were the first Tigers to earn All-American status since 2015.
Volleyball: Tigers Volleyball finished the 2024 season with a 17-10 record. They lost to the University of Saint Thomas in four sets in the SCAC quarterfinal. Annie Steger ‘25 was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) setter of the year and was an All-American honorable mention for her season.
Cross Country: Women’s cross country finished in sixth at the NCAA Women’s DIII Championship meet, the best finish in Tiger history. Senior Isabel Olson had CC’s best individual finish ever, placing 10th in the 6K. Olson and fellow senior Sydney Rankin, who finished 24th, were named all-Americans. Senior Will Shuflit, SCAC Runner of the year, became the seventh all-American in men’s program history after finishing 30th at the NCAA Men’s DIII Championship. Recent graduate and former SCAC Woman of the Year Kendall Accetta was named a top 30 honoree for the prestigious NCAA Woman of the Year award.
Track & Field: Both Men’s and Women’s Track & Field finished in third at the 2025 SCAC Championships. Junior Rabbit Barnes won the 1500-meter and 800-meter races, and senior Will Shuflit won the 5K and 10K races. Senior Isabel Olson won the 5K and 1500-meter races, and Juniors Ella Fullerton and Clara Lippert won the 800-meter and 400-meter titles, respectively. Senior Eliot Singer won the 10K race, becoming the first runner in SCAC history to win three 10K titles.
Swim & Dive: Men’s Swim & Dive finished in first place in the SCAC Championship meet. Women’s Swim & Dive finished in second, behind Trinity University. Sophomore Wyatt Wellehan was named SCAC Male Diver of the Year, while Senior Emma Krasemann was named SCAC Female Diver of the Year. Former coach Anne Goodman James, who retired last year, is set to win the CSCAA Lifetime Achievement Award.
Men’s Basketball: The Tigers finished the season with a 14-13 record, their first consecutive winning season since 2013. They beat Concordia (TX) 89-64 in the SCAC quarterfinal, but fell short 67-50 against Trinity in the semifinal game. Asher Nofzinger ‘26 was named to the SCAC second-team, Devin Philio ‘25 to the third-team, while Scott Ruegg ‘25 and Ty Hendler ‘27 were named honorable mentions. Nofzinger was additionally awarded the SCAC Elite 19 award.
Women’s Basketball: This season, the Tigers were 23-4, undefeated at home, won their first-ever SCAC regular season title, and qualified for the national tournament for just the second time in program history. In the NCAA tournament, the No. 25 Tigers fell to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse 79-52. Senior Zoë Tomlinson was named the D3Hoops.com Region 10 player of the year, a WBCA Division III All-American, and a finalist for the Jostens trophy — awarded to the best player in DIII. Tomlinson was named the conference player of the year for the second year in a row, and additionally took home Defensive Player of the Year Honors and the SCAC Elite 19 award. Tomlinson earned first-team recognition, Kayla Mackel ‘25 was named second-team, and Healy Bledsoe ‘25, Laura Strenk ‘25 and Isa Nelson ‘27 were All-Conference honorable mentions.
Men’s Lacrosse: The Tigers finished their season with a record of 8-6. The team closed out the regular season with a 20-8 loss against Endicott College on Thursday, April 17 and a 14-13 overtime win against UMass Boston on Friday, April 19.
Women’s Lacrosse: The women’s lacrosse season is still ongoing, with the team currently holding a 18-3 record and the No. 15 ranking. The Tigers collected a pair of wins last weekend en route to winning the WIAC Tournament, beating University of Wisconsin- La Crosse 17-6 and University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire 21-9. The Tigers have qualified for the NCAA DIII Tournament, and face off against No. 10 Pomona-Pitzer in the first round on May 11.
Men’s Tennis: The Tigers finish this season with a record of 7-14. They beat Texas Lutheran University in the SCAC quarterfinal, but fell to No. 50 Southwestern 2-4 in the semifinal match. The Tigers took down Concordia University 4-0 to take home third place. Five Tigers were named to the all-tournament team: Senior Aidan Little, Sophomore Dominik Kaminski and freshman Sam Dilworth were named for singles and senior Nate Beerman and freshman Lanny Lehmitz were named for doubles.
Women’s Tennis: The Tigers finished their season with a 12-8 record, the most wins in a single season since 2015-16. In the SCAC tournament, they took two 4-0 wins in the quarterfinals against Austin College and semifinals against Southwestern, but fell 0-4 to No. 11 Trinity in the final to take home second place. Six Tigers were named to the all-tournament team: freshman Ally Lowe for both singles and doubles, freshman Aspen Young and Lucia Moravek for singles, sophomores Avery Hickman and Kala Komaduri and freshman Amilia Karr for doubles.
