Men’s Hockey:
The Colorado College Tigers are 12-14-4 (6-10-4 in conference) and continue conference play this week.
On Feb. 6, the Tigers lost 2-2 in a penalty shootout against No. 8 University of Denver, losing again 4-1 on Feb. 7. A week later, the Tigers fell in a back-and-forth 6-5 bout against St. Cloud State University on Feb. 13, before winning 4-1 a day later on Feb. 14. Freshman Connor Hvidston was named the KJ Branding National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) Rookie of the Week for his two assist, one goal performance over the weekend. The Tigers face off in a home series this weekend against the No. 4 Western Michigan Broncos. Both games will take place in Ed Robson Arena: at 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 6, and at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7.
Women’s Basketball:
The Tigers currently stand at 18-5 (13-1 in conference).
On Feb. 6, the Tigers lost 54-37 to McMurry University, bouncing back on Feb. 8 with a 72-57 win against Schreiner University. They then played a pair of home games, beating Concordia University (Texas) 69-44 on Feb. 13, and beating Texas Lutheran University 63-53 on Feb. 15. With the win over Texas Lutheran, the Tigers secured sole possession of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Gold Division, ensuring a top seed in the SCAC tournament.
The Tigers have a pair of home games this weekend, including their senior day. On Friday, Feb. 20, the Tigers tip off against Centenary College at 7:30 p.m. in Reid Arena. On Sunday, Feb. 22, the Tigers host their senior day game against LeTourneau University at 2 p.m. in Reid Arena.
Men’s Basketball:
The Tigers now hold a record of 10-13 (8-6 in conference) and continue Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) play this week.
The Tigers traveled to Abilene, Texas, beating McMurry University 72-69 on Feb. 6. They then traveled to Kerrville, Texas losing 88-68 to Schreiner University on Feb. 8. On Feb. 13, the Tigers lost to Concordia University (Texas) 95-92 at home in Reid Arena. They bounced back on Feb. 15 with a 75-56 win over Texas Lutheran University.
The Tigers have a pair of home games this weekend, including their senior day. On Friday, Feb. 20, the Tigers tip off against Centenary College at 5:30 p.m. in Reid Arena. On Sunday, Feb. 22, the Tigers have their senior day game against LeTourneau University at 12 p.m., also in Reid Arena.
Men’s & Women’s Indoor Track and Field:
The Tigers competed in the Colorado Classic in Boulder on Feb. 6. Allison Barker ‘26 placed 17th in the 3K, setting a school record with her time of 2:18.26. Rabbit Barnes ‘26 finished 7th in the 800-meter with a school-record time of 1:52.43, the seventh-best time in DIII this season. The women’s 4-by-400 relay team of Thalia Goessling ‘29, Riley Webb ‘29, Barker and Clara Lippert ‘26 placed fourth, breaking the school record with a time of 4:04.99.
On Feb. 13, senior Allison Mueller-Hickler broke her own 5K school record by over 90 seconds, finishing 27th in a field of mostly DI runners at the Husky Indoor Classic in Seattle with a time of 17:05.19.
On Feb. 14, Barnes set a school record in the indoor mile also at the Husky Indoor Classic. He placed 39th in a race of mostly DI runners, finishing in 4:04.95, breaking the previous record by more than 13 seconds. Also on Feb. 14, at the Whitworth Invitational Track & Field Meet in Spokane, Wash., senior Abby Goodfried set a school record in the indoor mile with a time of 5:07.77.
Men’s Swim & Dive:
From Feb. 11-14, the Tigers won the SCAC Championships for the second straight year, finishing with 928 points, followed by the University of St. Thomas with 583 and McMurry University with 428. Junior diver Nico Rimer was named the SCAC Diver of the Meet, while junior swimmer Kole Petersen was awarded the Elite 19 award, which recognizes a student who has excelled in both academics and athletics.
Women’s Swim & Dive:
From Feb. 11-14, the Tigers made history by winning the SCAC Championships for the first time in program history, finishing with 1032 points, followed by Asbury University with 704 and the University of the Ozarks with 483. Head coach Jen Buffin and assistant coaches Tarek Farouk and Adric Arndt and diving coach Ellen Walker were named the SCAC Women’s Swim and Dive Staff of the Year. Junior diver Keller Pooley won two titles and was named the SCAC Diver of the Meet, while sophomore Julia Cox won three individual titles, winning the SCAC Swimmer of the Meet.
Women’s Lacrosse:
The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) released its preseason preview, which included a vote by league head coaches and sports directors placing Colorado College first in their preseason rankings. Last season, CC made it to the second round of the NCAA DIII Women’s Lacrosse Championship. Junior Charlotte Iler and senior goalkeeper Cassidy Schnaufer were both given USA Lacrosse Preseason All-America honors by the organization. Iler was named to the third team, while Schnaufer was an honorable mention.
The Tigers begin their season on Sunday, March 1, at home on Washburn Field against Johnson and Wales.
Men’s Lacrosse:
The Tigers opened their 2026 season campaign on Friday, Feb. 13, against Illinois Wesleyan University in an 11-10 loss. Aidan Niklaus ‘27 scored four of the Tigers’ 10 goals, along with an assist. Matt Hudson ‘27, Gavin Pope ‘27, Wyatt Furda ‘27, Liam Goodwin ‘28, Matthew Collina ‘28 and Harrison Yu ‘29 all collected one goal each in the game.
On Sunday, Feb. 15, the Tigers tallied their first season win over Aurora University in a decisive 17-11 victory. Niklaus led the Tigers with four goals and two assists, followed by Pope with four goals and one assist.
Following his 11-point weekend, Niklaus was named to the USILA Division III National Team of the Week on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
The Tigers open home play on Saturday, Feb. 21, at Washburn Field against Adams State University, followed by a game against John Carroll University on Tuesday, March 3.
Club Sports:
No. 16 Zenith Club Ultimate Frisbee and No. 15 Wasabi Club Ultimate Frisbee traveled to Portland, Ore., on Feb. 14-15 and competed in the DIII Grand Prix tournament.
Wasabi Ultimate Frisbee will be on Washburn Field against Brigham Young University on the night of Friday, Feb. 27. Wasabi and Zenith Ultimate Frisbee both play in the Snow Melt Tournament at the El Pomar Sports Complex on Saturday, Feb. 28, and Sunday, March 1.
The Club Baseball team is hosting a doubleheader at El Pomar Sports Complex against CSU Pueblo on Saturday, Feb. 28.
Men’s Club Ice Hockey will be at home for two games against Colorado School of Mines in Robson Arena, Friday, Feb. 27, and Saturday, Feb. 28.
Women’s Club Ice Hockey will be home next Friday night, Feb. 27, in Robson Arena.
Intramurals:
IM Basketball and Futsal Leagues continued this week, with the championship bracket starting next week. The Spring Ping Pong Tournament kicked off this week and will continue through the block. Ice Broomball has been postponed to Block 7, with the registration deadline moved to the end of Block 6.
Block 6’s Second Saturday Series, a pickleball tournament, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 28. Sign-ups are due by Thursday, Feb. 26.
