Singer Dijon Duenas pulled an entire room straight into his world at his concert on Nov. 10. At Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, Colo., the alternative R&B artist brought the city a piece of his tour with a setlist that moved the crowd with every song.

Dijon opened with selections from his album “Baby.” He eased the crowd into the night with “Baby” and “Higher,” two tracks that showcased his vocal rasp and improvisational flair.

He dove into earlier work as well, bringing out tracks from his 2020 EP “How Do You Feel About Getting Married?” The soft chaos of “alley-oop,” driven by its magnifying kick drum, created an ethereal moment as the crowd sang along. This was followed by “Rock n Roll,” a track with a loud, commanding presence and one of Dijon’s more energetic performances of the night.

Dijon returned with songs from Baby, looping back to “Fire,” “(Referee)” and “Rewind.” Each track served as a reminder of the album’s heartbeat and showcased his talent for turning live performance into an intimate experience with his audience.

From his 2021 album “Absolutely,” he shifted the energy once again. “Talk Down” and “Many Times” sent the crowd into a unified sway, while “Annie” and “The Dress” drew some of the loudest sing-alongs of the evening. His raw, off-the-cuff delivery made even the most familiar tracks feel brand new.

The room erupted as the first notes of “Yamaha” spilled out, followed by “Automatic” and the fan-favorite “Kindalove.”

The night’s most emotional moment came during the encore, when Dijon returned to perform his single “Skin,” his voice resonating through the Fillmore’s ceilings. He closed the set with “Rodeo Clown,” lights flashing as the crowd clapped, sang and cheered in unison.

He moved with a chaotic grace throughout the show, bringing a sense of relaxation and community to the audience. It was a performance that felt like witnessing someone unravel right in front of you.
