Photographs by Morgan Bak. Pigs were roasted, rails were ripped, and hundreds of students sauntered down to the Preserve Hill to soak in all that was Rail Jam 2015. Carnivore Club roasted two pigs in new smoker “Big Mama” much to the delight of cold, college-aged stomachs. The competition field was made up entirely of Colorado College students, who sent in audition tapes to FUCC executives to evaluate. Freshman Guy Stearns was crowned as champion of the whimsical event, which featured many a steezy tall-tee and wince-inducing slams. Remnants of the raucous night can still be seen below the Preserve, reminding us that Rail Jam’s icy excitement will come back into our lives again in Feb. 2016.
